· GhanaSoccernetBlack Queens midfielder Jennifer Cudjoe has been adjudged Woman of the Match (WoTM) after Ghana’s 1-1 draw against Mali in the 2024 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The experienced midfielder missed Ghana’s defeat to South Africa in the opening Group C match as a result of suspension.
Today, she returned to the Black Queens’ starting eleven looking to propel the team to victory.
Although she put up a top performance against Mali, Ghana could not secure victory and had to share the spoils with the opponent.
For her impressive efforts, Jennifer Cudjoe takes home the Woman of the Match award.
With the Black Queens winless after the first two matches in Group C, Ghana’s chances of advancing to the knockout stage have become slim.
The Queens will wrap up the group phase of the tournament with a final game against Tanzania.
It will be a game Ghana must win at all costs and hope to earn enough points to go through to the knockout stage as one of the best third-placed teams.
