Young Apostles CEO vows to survive relegation
· GhanaSoccernetThe Chief Executive Officer of Young Apostles, Gerald Domfeh, has expressed strong confidence that his club will retain its Ghana Premier League status for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
Despite sitting 15th on the league table after 19 matches, a position near the relegation zone, Domfeh dismissed any talk of the club dropping out of the top flight.
"We will survive relegation," he said in a radio interview with Asempa FM. He emphasized the team's potential for improvement, adding, "From the games we have played, we can do better, and we will give Dreams FC a good game this weekend, and so relegation is out of the conversation."
The statement comes as the club prepares for a crucial away fixture against Dreams FC at the Tuba AstroTurf in Matchday 20. The Apostles will be aiming to secure a positive result after a 2-2 home draw against Hohoe United in their previous outing.
Domfeh's public assurance coincides with the club's formal confirmation that it will continue to compete in the Premier League for the rest of the season.
Young Apostles had previously raised the possibility of boycotting the competition, but those plans have now been set aside as the team focuses on securing its status on the pitch.
