Assistant coach of the Ghana national football team, Desmond Ofei, has expressed confidence that the team will give everything needed to secure victory over Panama in their opening group match.

Ghana, aiming to reach the knockout stage of a World Cup for the first time since 2010, have been placed in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama.

Despite questions surrounding their form in the build-up and the absence of some key players, Ofei insists the squad remains focused on starting strongly.

"We are going to do everything possible to win against Panama," he told Asempa FM.

The Black Stars open their campaign on Wednesday, June 17, at BMO Field in Toronto, before taking on England at Gillette Stadium on June 23. Their group stage concludes against Croatia on June 27.

The team has already arrived in Toronto and is expected to complete a mandatory training session ahead of their first fixture.
