Swedru All Blacks have publicly backed their new head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle, emphasising that his experience and tactical expertise are precisely what the club needs to achieve its long-term ambitions.

Public Relations Officer Nathaniel Obeng detailed the club's strategic decision to replace former manager Ahmed Fathi, citing a combination of health-related factors and a clear vision for the club's future.

"As a traditional club on a journey to rewrite our history, rebrand and reposition the brand, we needed certain experienced and strong hands to take over the technical department of the club," Obeng told Citi Sports.

The club's leadership identified Mingle, who has a strong track record from previous roles at clubs like Nations FC and Bechem United, as the ideal leader for this project. "We believe that he—Mingle—has good experience and good qualifications to handle the team," Obeng affirmed. "We believe that with his experience and tactical prowess, he will be the best fit to replace Fathi."

Despite a 1-0 loss in Mingle's debut match against Bibiani Gold Stars, the club remains focused on the positive foundations laid.

"Though we lost, there were huge positives that we can build upon, and we are optimistic that Kassim Mingle will be able to take us to the level that all of us are looking for," Obeng added.

Mingle's first major test will be a symbolic one as he leads Swedru All Blacks against his former club, Nations FC, in the MTN FA Cup Round of 16 on Saturday, February 7.

The club is confident that his intimate knowledge of the opposition and strategic approach will prove decisive as they aim to advance and begin their new era under his guidance.
