Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko has praised midfielder Salim Adams, insisting the player fully deserves the recognition he is receiving as the club close in on the Ghana Premier League title.

Adams has been one of the standout performers this season, registering 11 goals and one assist in 26 league appearances. He underlined his importance again with a brace in Medeama’s 2-0 victory over Bibiani Gold Stars in a decisive top-of-the-table clash.

The 23-year-old’s consistent performances have placed him firmly in contention for the league’s Player of the Year award, while also drawing attention from the national team setup.

Tanko believes the midfielder’s form is no surprise, pointing to his work ethic and professionalism.

“He is a professional player; definitely, he has worked for the hype that he is getting now,” Tanko said.

The Medeama coach also stressed the importance of maintaining focus as the title race reaches its final stages.

“I hope he will continue to do that because every game is a very tough game from now on,” he added.

With Medeama holding a lead at the top, Adams’ contributions could prove decisive in their push to secure the title.
