Ghana’s Right to Dream Academy has been honoured with the Best Academy award at the 2025 Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai, a major international endorsement of Africa’s growing influence in elite player development.

The recognition, announced on Sunday, December 28, places the Ghana-based institution among the most respected development centres in world football and highlights its impact beyond the continent.

Right to Dream was celebrated for a holistic approach that blends high-level football coaching with formal education and leadership training, a model that has reshaped pathways for young athletes.

Established in 1999, the academy has steadily built a global reputation as a talent incubator, producing players who have progressed to top European leagues and represented their countries at senior international level.

On a night largely dominated by elite European clubs, star players and global brands, Right to Dream’s success stood out as a powerful statement for African football infrastructure and long-term investment in youth.

In a statement following the announcement, the academy said the award “reflects the choices made every day, Across academies, teams, classrooms, and communities, By people committed to giving young talent the chance to dream, grow, and pursue their potential.

“To everyone across the Right to Dream community, thank you for making dreams possible, every day.”
