Black Queens right-back Comfort Yeboah has expressed delight after Ghana progressed to the quarter-finals of the CAF Women's Africa Cup of Nations.

The Ampem Darkoa Ladies star played full throttle as the Black Queens defeated the Taifa Stars 4-1 on Monday evening to book a date with Algeria in the last eight.

Yeboah, who featured in all three group games, broke into the first team after impressing coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren with her performances in the league and with the Black Princesses.

"Qualification for the quarter-finals," she posted on social media after the match.

Meanwhile, in a thrilling encounter, Princella Adubea opened the scoring for Ghana early in the game before Stumai Abdallah levelled for Tanzania. Alice Kusi restored Ghana's lead after the break with a penalty before goals from Evelyn Badu and Chantelle Hlorkah.

The Black Queens will next face Algeria for a place in the semi-final of the tournament.
