I hope we learn from Samartex's draw - Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko
· GhanaSoccernetMedeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has urged his players to learn from their draw with FC Samartex.
The Yellow and Mavue side were held to a 1-1 draw in the Matchday 6 games on Friday at the TNA Park.
Dramani Awuah handed the hosts a surprise lead with an audacious strike from near the centre circle at the TNA Park, but Kingsley Braye’s late effort from a rebound ensured Medeama shared the spoils - a result that keeps them top of the table.
“The first half was not good from us,” Tanko admitted after the match.
“In the second half, we were better and had chances to score, but couldn’t. I hope we’ll learn from this. The league is long, and you’ll meet these kinds of games, but you have to keep going.”
Medeama SC will hope to continue their fine start to the season when they host Swedru All Blacks next in Tarkwa, while Samartex return to Samreboi to face Hohoe United, all in the Matchday 7 games.
