‘We have to overcome Kwara Utd with a lot of goals’ – Kotoko coach Karim Zito

Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito is preparing his side to score a lot of goals against Kwara United in their CAF Confederation Cup clash this weekend.

Speaking in a pre-match interview, the experienced tactician stressed that it is important to win big to make the reverse fixture in Nigeria easier for his team.

He further assured fans that the Porcupine Warriors are taking the upcoming encounter very seriously and will fight for victory at all costs.

“We are working towards our attitude, our approach. Now that we are going to play at home, we have to overcome them with a lot of goals to make it easier when we go to Nigeria. They will also try to prevent us from scoring, so that it makes it easier for them in Nigeria.

“We are taking this match so seriously; we won’t underrate anybody [in this competition]. I’m optimistic about a win on Sunday, Inshallah,” Karim Zito said.

The first leg meeting between Asante Kotoko and Kwara United will be played on Sunday, September 21.

The match will kick off at 3 pm at Accra Sports Stadium.
