GPL: Medeama SC players full of confidence heading into Hearts of Oak match - Ibrahim Tanko

The head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, Ibrahim Tanko, has indicated that his players are full of confidence heading into their Ghana Premier League fixture against Hearts of Oak this weekend.

The league leaders will host the Phobians in a high-stakes fixture on Sunday, January 4, in what will be a Week 17 fixture of the ongoing 2025/26 league campaign.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Ibrahim Tanko disclosed that there is a good feeling in camp, especially after going 13 matches without a defeat.

While he insists his team is focused on avoiding complacency, he noted that players are confident about their chances of picking all three points from the Hearts of Oak match.

“We have a very good feeling. If you go 13 games unbeaten, definitely confidence will be high. We want to keep our composure; we want to be ourselves, because, yes, we will be playing against a tough team on Sunday. But I think the boys are ready,” Tanko told Medi TV.

The Week 17 fixture between Medeama SC and Hearts of Oak will kick off at 5:30 pm on Sunday at TnA Stadium.
