Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, paid a morale-boosting visit to the Black Queens on Thursday evening during their final training session ahead of Friday’s third-place match against South Africa.

The Minister was joined by the Ministry’s Senior Technical Advisor Betty Krosbi Mensah, members of the Black Queens Management Committee, officials from the Ghana Football Association (GFA), and other senior figures from the Ministry.

After observing the session, Hon. Adams took time to speak with the players and technical team, commending them for their determination, unity, and resilience throughout the tournament.

"You have shown great character and represented Ghana with dignity," the Minister said. "Tomorrow’s match is another opportunity to make the nation proud, and we believe in your ability to finish strong.”

He assured the team of continued support from the government and the people of Ghana, expressing confidence in their ability to overcome the challenge posed by South Africa’s Banyana Banyana.

The Black Queens welcomed the visit warmly, taking it as a timely source of motivation as they aim to end their WAFCON campaign with a bronze medal.

The third-place playoff is scheduled for Friday, July 25, at the Stade Larbi Zaouli in Casablanca. Kick-off is at 19:00 GMT.
