The tactician described the achievement as the fulfilment of a personal dream following the club’s successful qualification to Ghana’s top flight.
“My dreams have come true after qualifying Debibi to the Premier League,” Isaac Nii Armah said after the team’s promotion was confirmed.
He added, “Debibi has come to stay. They will play in the Ghana Premier League for many years.”
Debibi United secured their place in next season’s Ghana Premier League after defeating Tamale City FC 3-1 on Wednesday afternoon in the Access Bank Division One League Zone One playoff.
The crucial victory saw Debibi United crowned Zone One champions, earning the club a place in the Ghana Premier League for the 2026/27 season.
Their promotion marks a major milestone in the club’s history and caps off an impressive campaign.
Although Isaac Nii Armah admitted he is uncertain whether he will remain in charge for the club’s debut top-flight season, the coach insisted he is fully prepared for the challenge if given the opportunity.
Following their remarkable achievement, Debibi United will now turn attention toward preparations for life in Ghana’s top division.
