Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mohammed Kudus will be aiming to inspire a strong response when Spurs face Chelsea in Saturday’s Premier League London derby, following their Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Newcastle United.

Kudus, who joined Spurs this summer and has quickly become a fan favourite, was one of the few bright sparks in an otherwise disappointing night at St James’ Park, where Tottenham suffered a 3-0 defeat. The Ghanaian international endured a rough challenge from Joelinton, which many felt warranted a red card, sparking a heated confrontation on the pitch.

Despite the setback, manager Thomas Frank remains optimistic that Kudus and his attacking partner Richarlison can reignite Tottenham’s form. The pair have formed a productive understanding, combining for three goals in the Premier League this season, the most successful attacking partnership in the division, according to Opta.

Kudus’s influence continues to grow, with his trademark dribbling, flair, and creativity offering a spark in Tottenham’s attack. The 25-year-old has already recorded one goal and four assists in nine league appearances and will be looking to make his mark against Chelsea, a side he is yet to score or assist against in his career.
