Prince Badu's understanding of the the Ghana Premier League has been praised, with Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito expressing confidence that the midfielder will strengthen the club’s push for consistency and progression this season.

The Kotoko trainer believes Badu’s experience and understanding of the domestic league will be key as the Porcupine Warriors aim to consolidate their top-three position and mount a sustained challenge higher up the table.

The Kumasi-based club announced the signing of Prince Badu on Wednesday, confirming that the midfielder has agreed to a three-year contract after joining from fellow Ghana Premier League side Nations FC.

The move represents one of Kotoko’s notable acquisitions as the club seeks to reinforce its squad ahead of the second round of the season.

Speaking to AKSC Media, Karim Zito highlighted Badu’s tactical awareness and discipline as major attributes that influenced the decision to sign him.

"He understands the league, he’s tactically disciplined, and he will help us maintain intensity and stability in midfield over the remainder of the season and the next few years."

Badu arrives at Kotoko after scoring one goal for Nations FC in the first round of the Ghana Premier League.
