American forward of Ghanaian descent, Patrick Agyemang, has noted that he is anticipating a tough challenge in the English Championship following his move to Derby County.

The attacker sealed his transfer from Major League Soccer outfit Charlotte FC to the English Club on Tuesday, July 15.

“Derby County have completed the signing of United States international striker Patrick Agyemang. The 24-year-old joins from Major League Soccer side Charlotte FC for an undisclosed fee on a four-year contract until 2029.

“He becomes the club’s fifth signing of the summer as Head Coach John Eustace continues to prepare his squad for the 2025/26 Sky Bet Championship season,” Derby County announced.

Speaking to the media team of the English club after his move, Patrick Agyemang said he is expecting the Championship to be very challenging.

“I'm expecting it to be very tough. Definitely hard-working, and you're playing a lot of games. So, I know it's going to be trying at times, but it's all about how you deal with it.

“And I think for me, I usually like to take those big next steps. And there's going to be adjustment periods, but I know once I get through that, I should be fine,” Agyemang said.
