Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko vows improvement despite season opener victory
· GhanaSoccernetHead coach of Medeama, Ibrahim Tanko says his outfit will improve as the Ghana Premier League season progresses.
The Yellow and Mauves commenced the 2025/26 season on a good note, defeating Young Apostles 2-0 in a high-stake clash on Sunday afternoon.
Medeama opened the scoring through Emmanuel Owusu in the 17th-minute mark as the visitors went to the halftime break with the advantage.
Putting on a stellar performance after the break, the former Ghana Premier League champions grabbed their second goal of the match through Paul Yeboah to snatch victory.
“The performance was 50-50. We didn’t perform well in the first half of the match, but I think we did the most important thing by winning the game and also keeping a clean sheet. We will improve as the league unfolds” he said.
Medeama will play host to Vision FC at the Tarkwa TNA Park in matchday two of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign.
