Eleven Wonders midfielder Eden Kofi Asamoah has attributed the team’s big defeat to Young Apostles in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday to their disallowed goal.

Asamoah started for his team in the Week 21 fixture of the 2025/26 league campaign and played the full 90 minutes.

On the matchday, Eleven Wonders took an early lead, but the goal was disallowed. Eden Kofi Asamoah believes this was a key turning point in the game.

Speaking in his post-match interview, the midfielder argued that if the goal had stood, his team would have gone on to win the game.

“For now, there is nothing we can do. All we will do is continue working hard. For the match, I think the referee didn’t help. If he had allowed our early goal, things would have been different. Once the goal was disallowed, it didn’t help us,” Kofi Asamoah said.

Following the 3-0 defeat to Young Apostles, Eleven Wonders remain bottom of the Ghana Premier League standings with just nine points from 21 matches, with relegation almost impossible to avoid at this point.
