Goztepe sporting director hails Ghana midfielder Musah Mohammed’s versatility after Goztepe transfer
· GhanaSoccernetTurkish Super Lig side Goztepe have finalised the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Musah Mohammed, with Sporting Director Ivan Mance highlighting the player’s tactical versatility as a major reason behind the transfer.
The 24-year-old arrives from second-tier club Bodrum after signing a three-and-a-half-year contract with an option for an additional season, ending his productive spell with the club he joined from Ankaraspor in 2022.
Mance expressed confidence that Mohammed’s adaptability will strengthen the squad and improve tactical balance.
“Musah is a player we have been following for a long time, and we are very pleased to have brought him into our squad. He is a versatile footballer who can play in multiple positions.”
Mohammed played an instrumental role in Bodrum’s rise to the top flight, helping the team secure promotion before featuring prominently during their Super Lig campaign.
He made 25 league appearances and contributed four assists during the 2024/25 season, underlining his ability to influence matches from midfield roles.
Although Goztepe had tracked Mohammed since last summer, Bodrum were initially unwilling to sanction his departure due to his importance to the squad.
The midfielder remained a key performer this season, making 21 appearances across all competitions, scoring once and providing two assists before completing the transfer.
