Karim Zito ready to face ‘brother’ Didi Dramani in Kotoko and Hearts Ghana Premier League showdown
· GhanaSoccernetAsante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has reflected on his close relationship with Hearts of Oak boss Mas-Ud Didi Dramani ahead of their highly anticipated Premier League clash.
The two sides face off at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, November 9, at 16:00 GMT, in what promises to be one of the biggest fixtures of the season.
Both clubs remain unbeaten in the Ghana Premier League so far, setting the stage for an intense encounter.
Speaking to the club’s media team, Zito recalled his productive working relationship with Dramani during their time together at Kotoko.
“The telepathy between us worked a lot because when you look at the result we chalked…it tells you the way we were at that time,” Zito said.
Despite their friendship, Zito made it clear that sentiment will not influence Sunday’s contest. “We are brothers, we talk a lot but…we are going there with the mindset of beating him,” he stated.
Kotoko currently sit eighth on the league table after securing three wins and two draws in their opening five games.
Hearts, meanwhile, occupy fourth place, having recorded four wins and four draws from eight matches.
The result on Sunday could have major implications for both teams’ early title ambitions.
