Antoine Semenyo to join Ghana camp in Wales after successful season
· GhanaSoccernetManchester City star Antoine Semenyo is expected to join the Black Stars camp in Wales in the coming days following an outstanding season at club level.
The Ghana forward arrives in camp after enjoying the most productive campaign of his career, scoring 21 goals in all competitions and helping Manchester City win two trophies.
Among the highlights of his season was City's FA Cup triumph, with Semenyo scoring in the final against Chelsea as Pep Guardiola's side secured the trophy at Wembley.
The 26-year-old also played a key role throughout the campaign and finished the season strongly, scoring in Guardiola's final match as Manchester City manager against Aston Villa.
Semenyo's impressive form will be a major boost for Ghana as the Black Stars continue preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The forward is expected to be one of the key attacking players in Carlos Queiroz's squad and could play a crucial role in Ghana's hopes of progressing from a challenging Group L.
His arrival will further strengthen the camp in Cardiff, where several players have already reported ahead of the June 2 friendly against Wales.
The Black Stars have been drawn alongside England, Croatia and Panama at the World Cup and will be hoping Semenyo can carry his club form onto the international stage as Ghana chase a place in the knockout rounds for the first time since 2010.
