GFA Executive Council bans Nsoatreman FC from playing home games at Nana Kronamansah Park
· GhanaSoccernetThe Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has banned Nsoatreman FC from playing their home matches at the Nana Kronamansah Park.
This follows the acts of hooliganism witnessed during the club’s Week 19 clash against Asante Kotoko in the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
The acts of violence and lawlessness that marred the league match on Sunday, February 2, resulted in the loss of life, several injuries, and the destruction of property.
In a press release from the Ghana Football Association, it stressed that what happened was unacceptable, adding that it placed a blemish on the integrity of the game.
The GFA Executive Council has subsequently invoked Article 14(2) of the Premier League Regulations to ban Nsoatreman FC from using Nana Kronamansah Park until further notice.
“The Executive Committee of the GFA has, with immediate effect, invoked Article 14(2) of the Premier League Regulations, by banning the use of the Nsoatreman FC home venue until further notice. This action ensures the safety of all stakeholders while investigations proceed,” the GFA said in a statement on its website.
