Black Starlets step up U17 AFCON preparations with 4-2 friendly win over True Life FC

The Ghana U17 team stepped up their preparations for the U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with an impressive 4-2 victory over True Life FC in a friendly match played at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The encounter, held on Friday morning, offered an encouraging test for the Black Starlets as they continue building toward the 2026 continental competition set to be hosted in Morocco.

The Black Starlets made a dominant start to the game, taking control early and asserting their attacking intent.

Skipper Joseph Narbi opened the scoring to give the Black Starlets an early lead, before Mark Aboagye quickly doubled the advantage with a sharp finish.

Gavi Robinho then added a third goal before halftime, giving Ghana a commanding 3-0 lead at the break.

True Life FC eventually responded with two late goals, reducing the deficit, but it was not enough to threaten the Black Starlets' dominance as the match ended 4-2.
