Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko confirms mutual contract termination with midfielder Samuel Tenadu

Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have mutually parted ways with midfielder Samuel Tenadu effective immediately, bringing an end to his spell at the club.

The midfielder joined the Porcupine Warriors in summer 2024 following a standout performance with Legon Cities. However, Tenadu’s spell with the Ghanaian giants was plagued by injuries, limiting him to a fewer number of matches.

Despite signing a three-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors, Tenadu’s time at the club has been cut short, denying him the opportunity to fully establish himself.

“Asante Kotoko SC and player Samuel Tenadu have mutually agreed to contract termination with immediate effect. We wish him well in his future endeavours” a statement from the club reads.

At the time of his arrival, the midfielder was highly rated for his tenacity and work rate, with expectations that he would grow into a key figure at the club.

However, persistent injury setbacks disrupted his progress and ultimately limited his impact at the club.

Currently a free agent, Tenadu is expected to find himself a new club ahead of the second round of the Ghana Premier League.
