Black Queens midfielder Jennifer Cudjoe joins Brooklyn FC in the United States
· GhanaSoccernetGhana international midfielder Jennifer Cudjoe has completed a move to Brooklyn FC ahead of the 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League season in the United States of America.
The 31-year-old deputy captain of the Black Queens joins the newly established side from DC Power FC, where she featured prominently during the 2024/25 campaign, starting ten matches and amassing close to 900 minutes of action.
Brooklyn confirmed the signing on Wednesday, pending league and federation approval.
Cudjoe is expected to make her debut on November 8 when Brooklyn FC host DC Power FC at Maimonides Park.
“Jennifer is an experienced player and a true leader. Her composure, professionalism, and passion for the game will make a huge impact on our group,” said Brooklyn sporting director Kevin Tenjo.
Cudjoe, who began her career with Hasaacas Ladies in Ghana, has had an impressive football journey that spans collegiate soccer and professional stints across Denmark and the United States.
She previously played for Sky Blue FC (now Gotham FC) in the NWSL before joining DC Power FC.
Expressing her excitement, Cudjoe said: “Brooklyn is building something truly new and ambitious in American soccer, and I’m excited to be part of it.”
The experienced midfielder has represented Ghana at U-17, U-20, and senior levels, including appearances at FIFA youth World Cups and the 2024 CAF Women’s Olympic Qualifiers.
