· GhanaSoccernetBrandon Thomas-Asante has described his involvement with the Black Stars as a major personal milestone as Ghana step up preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Wales.
The Coventry City forward, who played a key role in his club’s promotion to the Premier League, said representing Ghana at international level fulfils a long-held ambition.
He reflected on years of dedication and belief, saying it has always been a childhood dream to reach this stage.

"Now, to be here is incredible. To be able to prepare for the World Cup is something that, as I say, I've been praying for since I was a child."
The Black Stars are currently in Cardiff, training at Dragon Park ahead of Tuesday’s friendly against Wales.
The squad includes new arrivals such as Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Kamal Deen Sulemana and Abdul Mumin, strengthening competition for places.
Thomas-Asante stressed that the group remains focused on preparing properly for the World Cup in North America, where Ghana will face Panama, Croatia and England in Group L.
