Former Ghana U17 star Aminu Mohammed explains decision to join Bechem United after rejecting 'big clubs'
· GhanaSoccernetAminu Mohammed is seeking redemption following his return to the Ghana Premier League after his promising career went down the hill following a tough spell in Europe.
The former Ghana U17 star secured a record breaking move to English giants Manchester City from West Africa Football Academy in 2018, but failed to make an appearance for the club and spent most of his time on loan.
Seven years later, he decided to sign for Ghana Premier League side Bechem United as he looks to revive his career.
"Bechem United is a big team and it is a good club for young players like me. They give a lot of opportunities and they help a lot, that is why I am here," he told 3 Sports.
Meanwhile, there were offers from some of the big clubs in Ghana but according to Mohammed he wanted a place where he will take time to rediscover his form.
"When I was in the house, I got some offers. People talk to me that they want me and stuffs but I think those clubs are some of the biggest in the league and not only in Ghana, they no them in Europe and stuffs. The pressure there is too much and I want a somewhere where I can take my time and they will have patience for me. That's why I chose Bechem United," he added.
The highly-rated forward could make his debut for the Hunters on Saturday in the game against champions Bibiani GoldStars.
