Albert Amoah’s departure is a big blow – Asante Kotoko midfielder Seth Kwadwo
· GhanaSoccernetAsante Kotoko midfielder Seth Kwadwo has opened up on the exit of striker Albert Amoah, saying it is a big blow for the club.
The 23-year-old attacker recently sealed a move to Libyan giants Al Ahli Benghazi on the back of his scintillating performance for the Porcupine Warriors.
Amoah joined Kotoko from Great Olympics last season and swiftly established himself as a key cog of the team, making 30 appearances and scoring 16 goals.
However, Seth Kwadwo, who recently bagged a Man of the Match award in the Premier League insists the departure of the striker is a big blow to the side.
“Albert Amoah’s departure is a big blow, but then, we also have to show our quality in his absence” he said.
In continental football, Amoah also impressed, scoring two goals in four appearances during the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary rounds, despite Kotoko’s eventual elimination.
The move represents a major step in Amoah’s career as he joins one of Libya’s most successful clubs, who are regular participants in CAF inter-club competitions.
