VIDEO: Antoine Semenyo joins Black Stars camp after Carabao Cup triumph

Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has linked up with his Black Stars teammates ahead of Ghana's pre-World Cup friendlies against Austria and Germany, fresh off winning the Carabao Cup with Manchester City.

Semenyo was part of the Manchester City squad that defeated Arsenal 2-0 in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley on Sunday, lifting the first major trophy of his career. The 26-year-old played a key role in City's run to the final and will now turn his attention to international duty.

The Ghanaian joins a growing Black Stars camp as Otto Addo's side prepares for two crucial friendly matches. Ghana will face Austria in Vienna on March 27 before travelling to Stuttgart to take on Germany three days later.

Semenyo's arrival provides a significant boost to the squad. The forward has been in outstanding form since joining Manchester City in January, earning Premier League Player of the Month for February and establishing himself as one of Ghana's most dangerous attacking threats.

The friendlies serve as vital preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where Ghana have been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Panama. The Black Stars will open their campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto.
