Asante Kotoko's mindset is to beat Didi Dramani and Hearts on Sunday – Karim Zito
· GhanaSoccernetAsante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito says his team will approach Sunday’s clash against Accra Hearts of Oak with a winning mentality despite his close friendship with Hearts boss Mas-Ud Didi Dramani.
Kotoko face Hearts at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, November 9, at 16:00 GMT in one of the most anticipated fixtures of the Ghana Premier League season.
Both clubs remain unbeaten, setting up a fierce contest between the traditional rivals.
Speaking to Kotoko media, Zito reflected on his professional bond with Dramani, with whom he worked during a successful period at Kotoko.
He, however, emphasized that friendship will take a back seat once the whistle blows.
“We are brothers, we talk a lot but…we are going there with the mindset of beating him,” he noted.
Kotoko sit eighth in the standings with three wins and two draws from five games, while Hearts occupy fourth place with four wins and four draws in eight matches.
Victory for either side could significantly shape their early title ambitions.
