World Cup 2026: Black Stars intensify training in USA ahead of opener against Panama
· GhanaSoccernetThe Black Stars have zoomed into the final part of their preparations ahead of the 2026 World Cup in full gear in the United States.
The Ghana national team, currently based in Rhode Island, resumed training at the Bryant University on Friday.
The team led by coach Carlos Queiroz returned to practice early Saturday morning and will continue their the tournament begins next week.
The players were taken through intensive drills before engaging in ball work later on.
Meanwhile, there are reports the Black Stars will have a behind-close-door friendly before their trip to Toronto for the opener against Panama.
The Black Stars are making a fifth appearance at the World Cup and will also face England in Boston and Croatia in Philadelphia as part of their Group L matches.
Ghana are hoping to make it out of the group for a third time after the disappointments of 2014 and 2022 in Brazil and Qatar respectively.
