'I wasn't too happy with the performance,' says Hearts of coach despite 3-0 win

Hearts of Oak manager Didi Dramani has expressed dissatisfaction with his team's performance despite overseeing a comprehensive 3-0 victory over bottom-placed Eleven Wonders at the University of Ghana Stadium.

In a post-match assessment that highlighted his demanding standards, Dramani admitted, "I wasn't too happy a person" with the display, even as his team secured their biggest win of the season with goals from Mawuli Wayo, Martin Karikari, and Kelvin Asibey.

The coach acknowledged the positive result but immediately shifted focus to the tactical details he found lacking.

"I think that it is good that we had our first 3-0 win in the game, but I think that we still need to be more clinical, and we need to be more conventional and also make the right decisions in very key moments," Dramani explained.

His criticism centred on structural and defensive organisation. "For me, I'm more into the small details of the game... because [of] both structures in terms of how our defensive phase [was], the clear identity of what we have to do when we don't have the ball, especially when we need to win the ball in higher positions."

Dramani emphasised that these fundamentals are central to his philosophy, stating firmly, "These key aspects are aspects that I don't take lightly. I really emphasise these aspects."

The victory temporarily lifted Hearts of Oak to second place in the Ghana Premier League table, but Dramani's comments reveal a coach focused on long-term improvement rather than short-term results.

His critical approach suggests Hearts will continue refining their game as they prepare for their next fixture against Bechem United, with the manager determined to build a team capable of executing his vision perfectly.
