Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo named in Premier League Team of the Week after Brighton heroics
· GhanaSoccernetAntoine Semenyo has been named in the Premier League Team of the Week for the second time in the new campaign following his match-winning performance for AFC Bournemouth against Brighton and Hove Albion.
The Ghana international set up Alex Scott for Bournemouth's opener before scoring the winner from the spot to extend his goal-contribution for the season to five.
Semenyo, who is having an electric start to the season, is joined by Manchester City duo Jeremy Doku and Erling Haaland in attack.
Meanwhile, in midfield Lucas Begvall of Tottenham Hotspurs and Chelsea's Moises Caicedo are joined by Arsenal's Noni Madueke and Martin Zubimendi.
Christian Mosquera of Arsenal, Micky Van de Ven of Spurs and Brentford's Nordi Mukiele make the three-back with Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez keeping the post.
Semenyo put behind him a disappointing international break, where he failed to score for the Black Stars in the World Cup qualifiers, to continue his fine form in England.
He has also been nominated for the Player of the Week award in the Premier League, his second of the 2025/26 season.
