Sharaf Mahama, son of President John Dramani Mahama, stopped by the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday morning to watch the Black Starlets in action against True Life FC and offer his support ahead of the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

A former player at WAFA, Sharaf took time to speak with both players and the technical team, encouraging them to stay focused and committed as they prepare for the tournament in Morocco.

He urged the young side to make the nation proud and secure a ticket to the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

He also reminded them of their fighting spirit during the WAFU tournament in Côte d'Ivoire, where they defied expectations to qualify for the continental championship.

Sharaf expressed delight at reuniting with head coach Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, who previously coached him during his time at WAFA.

The visit served as a timely morale boost for the Black Starlets, who continue to fine-tune their squad through a series of friendly matches as they build momentum toward the U-17 AFCON.
