Black Starlets assistant coach Nana Kweku Agyemang has revealed that the team is leaving no stone unturned in their preparations for the upcoming U17 Africa Cup of Nations, even as they await Wednesday's group stage draw in Cairo.

"While we await CAF to conduct the group stage draw, we are preparing adequately for the tournament," Agyemang said.

"All we can do is play within our structure and principles and keep practising both in defence and in attack," he added.

The draw, scheduled to take place at CAF headquarters in Cairo at 16:00 GMT, will determine Ghana's group stage opponents for the tournament to be held in Morocco.

The Black Starlets are returning to the continental stage for the first time in eight years after securing qualification through the WAFU B tournament last year. Under head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum, the team has been in camp since the start of the year, focusing on fitness, tactics, and cohesion.

Agyemang's comments reflect the technical team's determination to ensure the players are ready regardless of who they face. With a place at the FIFA U-17 World Cup at stake, Ghana will be aiming to make a deep run in the tournament.

Ghana's U17 team has won the AFCON title twice and will be hoping to add to that legacy when the competition kicks off.
