Coach Nana Yaw Amankwah led the praise for his Bibiani Gold Stars side after they battled to a hard-earned FA Cup victory over Basake Holy Stars.

He was pleased with how his players handled the pressure and showed real character away from home.

Gold Stars had to work for every moment, staying patient as Basake pushed forward for long spells.

The breakthrough finally came through Emmanuel Agyei, who struck the only goal of the match against his former club. His sharp finish, strong link-up play, and tireless pressing earned him the Man of the Match award, highlighting how important he is to the team.

After the match, Coach Amankwah shared his thoughts on the performance.

"It was a very good game the Basake team was at the top this time whoever you are playing before you can overcome Basake for now unless you are good. My guys have done well the boys have played football today that is why we were able to beat Basake they did very well," he told Bibiani Gold Stars TV.

Gold Stars will now shift attention to the league, where they meet 7th-placed Samartex on December 7.
