Black Stars: It's a pleasure to play with 'amazing' Thomas Partey - Daniel Kofi Kyereh

Black Stars midfielder Daniel-Kofi Kyereh has praised teammate Thomas Partey, describing the Ghana international as an “amazing” talent following their time together in the national team.

Kyereh, who featured alongside Partey at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations and the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, says training and playing with the midfielder gave him a deeper appreciation of his quality on the pitch.

Ghana exited at the group stage in both tournaments.

The Freiburg midfielder, who is working his way back to full fitness after a long-term injury layoff, shared his thoughts in an interview with Joy Sports, reflecting on his international experience and career journey.

"It’s a pleasure to play with him (Thomas Partey)," he said.

"I always saw him as a really good player on television before I met him in the national team, but when I was training with him, I saw his quality from another angle, and he’s so good.

"What a player?! What an amazing player!" he added.

Since returning from injury, Kyereh has been featuring for Freiburg’s U23 side as he continues his recovery and builds match fitness with the aim of returning to top-flight action.
