GPL: Cioaba Aristica admits Aduana FC were poor in defeat to Berekum Chelsea
· GhanaSoccernetThe head coach of Aduana FC, Cioaba Aristica, has admitted that his team’s performance in their defeat to Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League over the weekend was not good enough.
The team from Dormaa played away to their Week 28 opponent on Sunday and suffered a 1-0 loss after 90 minutes.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Cioaba Aristica expressed disappointment with his team’s performance, admitting that Berekum Chelsea fought on the matchday and deserved the victory.
“We tried, but you know, Berekum Chelsea is a relegation team, and they are also fighting. It was a very bad game for my team. We had only one shot in 90 minutes, and it’s not good for the team,” the Aduana FC coach said.
Following the defeat to Berekum Chelsea, Aduana FC have dropped further down on the league table to fifth place on the Ghana Premier League standings.
The team is now nine points behind league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars heading into the last six matches of the season. Up next for Cioaba Aristica and his side, they will host the league leaders during Week 29.
