Ibrahim Tanko draws belief from Vision win ahead of Karela United clash
· GhanaSoccernetMedeama coach Ibrahim Tanko believes his side’s recent victory over Vision FC has given them the right push as they prepare for their Ghana Premier League clash against Karela United.
The Yellow and Mauve will host their Week 20 opponents at the TnA Stadium on Sunday, January 25, as they look to extend their strong run in the league. Medeama come into the game in good form, with four wins and one draw in their last five matches.
Speaking ahead of the game, Tanko praised his players for their effort and focus.
"No, I think it was a very important win for us and playing against vision and that has not lost a game for I think 16 home games and the boys did very well and to win away in Tema. So definitely it give us a confidence playing home and we are preparing very well and we take it as a normal game like every week and we hope that the boys will deliver for us," he told Medi TV.
Karela United, meanwhile, have struggled in recent weeks, losing two of their last three games. They are currently eighth on the table and will be hoping to improve their form.
Sunday’s match is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 pm.
