World Cup 2026: Bukayo Saka backs Thomas Tuchel to lead England to title
· GhanaSoccernetEngland star Bukayo Saka has expressed optimism about the Three Lions’ chances of winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to the Arsenal talisman, head coach Thomas Tuchel has what it takes to win the title for the Lions after decades of waiting.
"I think Thomas Tuchel is a great manager; I think he will be able to help us secure the World Cup. We're very itchy to get started,” Saka said in a pre-match interview.
On his readiness for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Saka believes he is a better player than he was five years ago.
He is confident he has gained valuable experience over the years and will be able to help the Three Lions in this year’s campaign at the World Cup.
"I'm a much better player than I was in 2021. Mainly due to the experiences, I hadn't played as much football as I've played now,” Saka added.
England last won the World Cup in 1966. Despite recent impressive campaigns, the Three Lions have failed to add a second title.
This year, they are in Group L and will compete with Panama, Ghana and Croatia.
