All Blacks explain decision to appoint Kassim Mingle as head coach

Swedru All Blacks have clarified the reasoning behind their managerial change, insisting the appointment of Kassim Ocansey Mingle reflects the club’s ambition to strengthen its technical leadership.

The Ghana Premier League side recently parted ways with Ahmed Fathi, citing a combination of factors including the need for a more experienced hand to guide the team through a demanding period of competition.

The decision comes at a crucial stage of the season as All Blacks continue to push for consistency following mixed results in recent fixtures that left them 14th on the table with 24 points - just one above the relegation zone.

Mingle has already taken charge of his first match, overseeing a narrow 1-0 defeat to Bibiani Gold Stars.

Explaining the decision, the club’s Public Relations Officer Nathaniel Obeng stressed the importance of experience and tactical authority in shaping the team’s future.

“Though we lost [against Gold Stars], there were huge positives that we can build upon it and we are optimistic that Kassim Mingle will be able to take us to the level that all of us are looking for,” he said.

All Blacks will now turn attention to the FA Cup round of 16 clash against Nations FC on February 7, a fixture that adds extra intrigue given Mingle’s previous association with the opponents.
