Berekum Chelsea coach Samuel Boadu unhappy with draw against Hearts of Oak
· GhanaSoccernetBerekum Chelsea tactician Samuel Boadu has expressed his displeasure following his outfit stalemate against Hearts of Oak in matchday 23 of the Ghana Premier League campaign.
The Bibires held the Phobians to a goalless draw in an engaging encounter at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon, on Sunday.
Both sides created opportunities and could have taken all three points, but a lack of clinical finishing and resolute defending ensured the match ended without goals.
Hearts goalkeeper Benjamin Asare produced an important save in the first half to keep the visitors at bay, while Berekum Chelsea defender Mohammed Seidu made a crucial goal-line clearance to deny the Phobians the opener.
Chelsea goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi also played his part, pulling off an excellent save to stop Mawuli Wayo as Hearts pushed for a breakthrough.
Speaking after the match, Boadu expressed dissatisfaction with stalemate against his former employers, describing the draw as unfortunate.
“I’m not happy at all because we came into the match to secure three points. It quite unfortunate we drew with them. I’m not happy considering our position on the standings” he said.
The dropped points leave Hearts five behind league leaders Medeama, while Berekum remain 15th on the table, three points adrift of safety as the relegation battle intensifies.
