Basake Holy Stars coach Rashad Musah has eulogized his players following victory over Karela United in the matchday 28 of the Ghana Premier League.

Holy Stars secured their tenth consecutive home win on Sunday after narrowly defeating Karela United in the Nzema derby, held at the AAK II Sports Arena.

Bismark Teye’s 61st-minute strike proved decisive in an entertaining contest between the two sides.

Speaking after the game, Rashad Musah commended his players for the hard-fought win, while promising to snatch victory in the remaining three home matches.

“I want to congratulate my players for a hard-fought victory over Karela United. This was the Nzema derby, and it lived up to expectations. We aimed to control the game throughout, but our opponents came in strongly and pushed for a result. It was a difficult first half, but we responded well after the break and got the goal we needed.

We are on course to secure maximum points at home in our remaining matches. With three home games left, we urge our fans to come out in their numbers and support us so we can finish the season on a strong note.” He said.

Basake Holy Stars find themselves in the seventh position on the Premier League table with 40 points. They will aim to build on Karela United win when they travel to Abrankese to face Nations FC.
