Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko keeps focus ahead of Young Apostles clash

· GhanaSoccernet

Medeama coach Ibrahim Tanko is keeping his focus steady ahead of the club’s Ghana Premier League meeting with Young Apostles, stressing that the approach remains the same as every other fixture.

Coach Tanko is intent on discipline, balance and execution as Medeama look to extend their strong recent form at home.

The Mauve and Yellow head into the game on the back of an encouraging run, with three wins and two draws from their last five matches. That sequence has lifted confidence within the camp and reinforced belief in the team’s style and structure as the season progresses.

Tanko is aware of the threat posed by Young Apostles, especially given their improved run since the first-round meeting. He expects a competitive contest but believes home advantage and game control will be key factors.

“We are preparing like any other game like you said we beat them first round but definitely after our game I think they go six or seven games without lose. So definitely they gain their confidence but we are playing home we want to control the game. We want to create chances if possible to keep the three points here. " he told Medeama TV

Medeama will host Young Apostles on January 11 at the TnA Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 pm.
