Ghana striker Inaki Williams is confident that the Black Stars will secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Athletic Club forward featured for the Black Stars on Monday night, helping the side to earn an important 1-0 victory against Mali in Round 8 of the qualifiers.

In what was a Group I contest, a solitary strike from defender Alexander Djiku in the second half was enough to hand Ghana all three points.

Reacting to the victory, which has seen Ghana open a three-point gap in the group table, Inaki Williams backed the Black Stars to maintain their spot to book a place at the World Cup.

“We're going to get it,” Williams said in a post on X.

The Black Stars, after ending the September international break on top of the Group I table, will disperse and regroup in October for the last two games in the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Central African Republic and Comoros.
