2025/26 Ghana Premier League: Week 9 Match Preview – Aduana FC vs Medeama

Aduana FC and Medeama SC will lock horns in one of the standout fixtures of the Ghana Premier League season at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with the top spot on the line.

Aduana currently lead the table with 18 points, just one ahead of second-placed Medeama, setting up a high-stakes clash between two sides in fine form.

The Fire club climbed to the summit for the first time this campaign after a hard-fought 1-0 away win over Eleven Wonders, extending their winning streak to four matches.

Under Romanian coach Cioba Aristica, Aduana have rediscovered their trademark consistency and defensive discipline, scoring nine goals and conceding only four in eight games, the third-best defensive record in the league.

Their form at home has been flawless, winning all four matches in Dormaa this season. Another victory on Saturday would not only stretch their streak to five consecutive wins but also reinforce their growing reputation as early title favourites. Historically, Aduana have been dominant against Medeama in Dormaa, never losing to the Mauve and Yellow in the Premier League at home.

Medeama SC, however, arrive in Dormaa with confidence and momentum of their own. Ibrahim Tanko’s men are unbeaten in their last five matches (W3, D2), with a record of 13 goals scored, the highest in the division, and just five conceded. Their attacking prowess, led by a fluid front line, has made them one of the most entertaining sides this season. Despite that, their away form remains patchy, with just one win from three away outings, having drawn and lost their last two on the road.

The statistics favour Aduana at home, but Medeama’s recent form and attacking sharpness suggest this top-of-the-table encounter could be a closely contested battle.
