Kamaldeen Sulemana highlights impact of Ivan Juric on his career

Kamaldeen Sulemana has described Croatian manager Ivan Juric as the perfect coach for his football career. 

The Ghana international has seen a massive improvement to his game since working with Juric from his days at Southampton and now Atalanta.

Having worked together in the second half of last season at St Marys, Juric made the winger his summer priority after it was announced he was joining Atalanta.

Since reuniting in Italy, Sulemana has been a key figure in Bergamo, scoring two goals in seven league matches for the 2024 Europa League winners.

"He's the perfect coach for me, tactically and technically. He gave me his trust right away when I arrived at Southampton. He's a mentor to me, he helps me find the right position on the pitch, both offensively and defensively. He's the teacher, and I'm the student: I trust him and I always want to do better," said Sulemana in an interview with Gazzetta.

The 23-year-old started for Atalanta on Sunday in their goalless stalemate with SSC Lazio.
