We should have won against Basake Holy Stars – Swedru All Blacks coach Kasim Mingle after defeat
· GhanaSoccernetHad coach of Swedru All Blacks Kasim Ocansey Mingle believes his team should have won their encounter with Basake Holy Stars if not for lack of profligacy.
Holy Stars boosted their survival hopes in the Ghana Premier League with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Swedru All Blacks in matchday 23 clash, held at the AAK II Sports Stadium in Ampain on Sunday afternoon.
Jacob Boazee emerged the hero for the Nzema-based side, netting the decisive goal in the 60th minute to secure all three points in a tense relegation battle.
Speaking after the match, the former Bechem United and Nations FC tactician expressed his displeasure about the defeat, stressing the side should have picked maximum points from the match if they had been clinical in front of goal.
“It was a balanced game, but we should have won the match. We had our chances and couldn’t utilize them. Our opponent did not create chances to score us but we created chances and wasted them. Holy Stars had a penalty and converted to win” he said.
The victory lifts Holy Stars further away from the drop zone, while All Blacks remain dangerously close to the relegation places as the battle for survival intensifies.
