'Vindicated' Kotoko coach Karim Zito makes intentions clear ahead of Hearts of Oak clash
· GhanaSoccernetAsante Kotoko coach Abdul Karim Zito says the Porcupine Warriors are aiming for victory as they travel to Accra to face Hearts of Oak.
The two most decorated Ghanaian clubs will face off on Sunday, November 9, in the first super clash of the season.
Ahead of the game, Zito opened up on his relationship with Hearts' Mas Ud Didi Dramani and how important a win will be for their third meeting since becoming coaches of the two teams.
Zito's Kotoko defeated Hearts to win the President Cup while Dramani got a deserved revenge in the GHALCA Top 4.
"I have worked him before when he was at Kotoko. I was the coach of the U20 and he was with the senior side. The telepathy between us worked a lot because when you look at the results we chalked, we won the Premier Division twice and we won the U20 twice. So it tells you the way we were at that time.
"Aside Hearts and Kotoko, we are brothers. We talk a lot and he is doing well with Hearts of Oak. Between Hearts and Kotoko, we played twice, we won one and he won the gala. So this is the third one to prove to him that, as I said, the gala the timing was not good for Kotoko and I am vindicated now.
"Automatically, we are going there with the mindset of beating him at the end of the day."
Kotoko sit 8th on the league table after five games while Hearts are fourth on the log after 8 matches.
