Nations FC captain Razak Simpson has praised his teammates after their victory over Aduana FC in the semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup.

The centre-back was in action for the team Abrankese on Friday and lasted the entire duration of the contest.

After a top performance in the game staged at the Swedru Sports Stadium, Razak Simpson was adjudged Man of the Match.

Speaking in a post-match interview, the defender refused to take all the credit, stressing that the win was possible because every player put up a fight.

“I give God all the glory. If not for him, we wouldn’t be here, and we wouldn’t have won this match. Last season, we were contesting for the league. A lot of the experienced players have left, and now we have young players in the team. Credit goes to our management and the coaches. We are happy.

“I will not take all the credit. Kudos to my defensive partner, Asante Boahene and the entire back four. I told Annor to score before the game and leave the rest to me. And that’s what we did,” Razak Simpson said.

Following their win over Aduana FC, Nations FC will now face off with the winner of the other semi-final match between Dreams FC and Medeama SC in the final.
