Kotoko coach Karim Zito hoping for clinical finishing from players in tie against Kwara Utd
· GhanaSoccernetThe head coach of Asante Kotoko, Abdul Karim Zito, has rallied his players to be clinical in front of goal in their upcoming encounter against Kwara United in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Ghanaian giants will host the team from Nigeria this weekend in the first leg of their tie in the preliminary stage of the continental inter-club competition.
Speaking in his pre-match interview, Karim Zito admitted that his side’s profligacy in front of goal was a major issue.
He added that the team has been working on chances conversion, and he hopes players will be clinical on Sunday to ensure victory against Kwara United.
“We are working. There is no training we are doing without practising goal scoring. Every session ends with goal scoring, so I think we are working on our goal scoring. I hope and wish they will apply what we have taught them,” Karim Zito said in an interview with AKSC Media.
The first leg meeting between Asante Kotoko and Kwara United will be played on Sunday, September 21.
The match will kick off at 3 pm at Accra Sports Stadium.
